We all like art. We all like Ric's. We all (will) like Jonathon Kopinski. All in all, three good reasons to make the visit to this local artist's first exhibition 0408, which will be adorning the walls of our favourite second-home until the May 20.

A UQ Architecture Graduate, Kopinski describes his paintings as "architecturally-themed post-pop landscape pieces… heavily inspired by the work of French architect Le Corbusier." Many of the paintings feature Le Corbusier’s seminal structure The Villa Savoye, the most famous piece of modernist architecture, apparently. At least according to architecture-nerds like Kopinski it is.

In layman's terms: this is an aesthetically pleasing, vividly coloured, lovingly created collection of works, in a price bracket we can all afford. What's more, Kopinski has even dedicated the collection to Ric's bar itself and "all the good times had there." Surely he deserves a free drink after that.

And so do you. But you may have to pay for it.
