Huong's pride themselves on delivering you "cuisine in a relaxed setting" and, though it may just be a quick phrase penned for business card convenience, those few words capture the spirit of the restaurant perfectly. This Thai-Vietnamese-Chinese hideaway is visible only by its soft glow of lanterns and fairy lights above West End's favourite cheap-as-chips bakery, Kim Thanh.
That cheeky old French theorist Baudrillard once complained about the sensationalism of art, bigger always meaning better etc etc; the artists showing at Under One Meter reject the notion of overbearingly spectacular art and give you humble paintings at about the size of a Grade Fiver, proclaiming good things come in small packages.
Today I ticked a big one off my wish list: FOUND! One giant jar of Maraschino cherries. Think of the grin you have post coitus - then times it by say, 10, then you can understand the amount of joy and accomplishment I feel right now.
Delta Continental is the curious blue building on Vulture Street - I'm sure you, like me, have peddled past many a time on route to Box Vintage or the markets but never thought to venture inside - fools.

September has drawn to a close and spring has most definitely sprung, leaving only thirty-one more precious days to dust-off the Dust Buster and embark on a spring cleaning frenzy. You know what they say - birds of a feather flock together. That's definitely the case with These Are Not Birds. Even though they're flat out denying any involvement with the feathered kind, they've totally got a fetish for hanging out in a brood.
This weekend The Boundary Hotel will learn a whole new meaning to calling or flipping the bird.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Boundary Hotel that really dodgy place that has leathery old barfly's hanging out it's windows drinking XXXX? It is? Awesome! It's about time they got some fresh blood into the place. Besides, I bet some of us could drink those old codgers under the bar mat - but then again, no one wants a stroke on their hands.
