Exciting news! Brisbane's favourite vintage parlour, BoxVintage, is extending its sequinned, shoulder-padded wings to the world of online shopping. That's right - BoxVintage is now on eBay! While the store itself is - and will remain - always a fun place to visit (with its rack-upon-rack of vintage gold and wickedly-cool sales staff), sometimes time and reality just get in the way.
They say Annerley is the new West End (albeit a slightly sloppier and more suburban version). Sure, it does have that same community feel, bohemian vibes, and organically-minded cafes, but let's face it: Annerley's main claim to fame is its op shops. Four second-hand treasure havens exist within just steps of each other at the top of Annerley Road (well, five if you include the huge Antique Shop as well).

Paddington is a suburb as renowned for its vintage shopping as its cafes, bookshops and parades of SUVs. Sure, there's the usual clusters of op-shops and antique stores (still always worth a visit), but if you want to bypass the digging and head straight for the treasure then Retro Metro is your best bet.

For many of us, op-shopping is one of life's simplest (and greatest) pleasures. Not only is your money going to a good cause, but also you can come home with box-loads of treasures without even breaking a note. You can find yourself that amazing vintage dress or tee that fits perfectly though accompanied by a one-digit price tag.
