If you had to pinpoint an influence for Brisbane’s Mr. Maps, you would be hard-pressed to narrow it down to any one artist. As an experimental act, pop songs are scrapped in favour of cleverly crafted amalgamations of sound and the result is both aurally and aesthetically pleasing.

Hip-hop attracts polarity. This brand of hip-hop is definitely just polar though, i.e. it’s cool. Other forms of hip-hop can be horrible. This brand of hip-hop isn’t. Instrumental wonder. In fact, forget the “hip-hop” tag, this is more so a night of billowing down-tempo beats and a collage of samples and groovy electronica.
