I find I am starting to spend more and more time in the Paddington woods. Asides from great coffee and good breakfast haunts - there are a tribe of boutiques, bric-a-brac and antique stores manifesting along the ever-stretching strip.
One of the most notable of the above is Chasing Bow boutique, unsuspectedly tucked between a string of stores on Latrobe Terrace.

Kiss hug, kiss hug. I've been bitten by the love bug! Welcome to XOXO. This unpretentious seven week old hole in the wall café perched on Given Terrace could very well be seen as a blank canvas waiting to be painted. In fact, for all you art lovers out there, café owner Kelly is looking for artists to fill the cafe walls, displaying their pieces week by week - so give her a buzz.
According to a column in The New Yorker circa 1942 some retired Wall Street stock broker by the name Lemuel Benedict coined the origin of the eggs benny. Benedict wandered into the Waldorf Hotel one particularly hungover 1894 morning in hope of finding a cure for his distressed liver. He ordered buttered toast, poached eggs, crisp bacon and a side of hollandaise.
Going to the hairdressers is not dissimilar to dating: some people are loyal, finding and trusting one perfect pair of hands to tend to their mane. Others like to move around, flirting with the scissors and rating the scent, chair comfort, water temperature and head massage technique of many a salon, looking for one that's just right.
It's not often enough you go to nice restaurants to be greeted by bonny Irish lasses. Never in my experience as a sampler of the delights of postcode 4000 and beyond have I come across such cheer and good will. The Chelsea is seriously a very good place to eat, with the best coffee I've had in a long while.
