Catch Kitsune records' newest signing, Classixx direct from LA - these guys are about to become well famous for their remixes of bands such as Phoenix and they kinda do this sort of collab thing with THE COBRASNAKE (even if he was soo much cooler 2 years ago, this still equals street cred).

Moth

Thurs May 28
Where:
Alhambra Lounge, 12 McLachlan St, Fortitude Valley
How much:
$8 presale or $10 on the door
Description:
It's MOTH time. I'm not sure exactly if that's really a catch-phrase I should be starting, but we're going there... get on down to MOTH town tonight! (oh yeah). Be sure to catch Sydney act EMERGENCY! EMERGENCY! And local rock/electronica act RE:ENACTMENT. Plus Wolfgang DJs, Youth and Momentum Peak will be spinning tunes that'll make your heels snap (wear flats to be safe).
Another club night innit!? I'm going to go out on a proverbial wing here, and say I think this one could be different. I like the minimalist theme. Less arrgh! Less fluro! Animal theme over, insect theme in. No, I'm not talking about the bar hogs or stick-thin model types - there will still be wild grunting in line at the bar and what is a club night without the pretty insect types?
What will be different is the colour of this little moth's coat.

FourThousand is a subcultural guide to Brisbane, published daily and fired by email weekly. It is compiled by an amorphous gaggle of Brisbane writers, stylists, designers and photographers who all like huddling under that big umbrella we like to call creativity. Without editorial independence FourThousand has nothing. All editorial you read is featured because it's worth it - not because it's paid for.
