If you've ever done any sort of visual arts degree or been thrown in the deep end of dense and stuffy art theory texts, fear not. Das Superpaper, Sydney's premiere art magazine, has made it up to Brisbane, and they're putting reality back into art. Maybe we don't get the launch party, but who's to say you can't invite your artiest friends around to your house and bring the ruckus, right?
In their 12th and current issue, there's interviews with Sydney's Circle Pit, Brisbane ex-pat Jesse Olsen, the curators of the Holy Trinity of Australian Art Festivals and photographers Ben Ali Ong and Zoe McMahon.

People always whinge about the price and the quality of cocaine in Australia as they put half a Jetstar flight to Japan up their nose. Such complaints are a consequence of distance and market size: there simply aren't enough advertising executives in our cities to convince a ring of ass-kicking, goldtooth-grinning, machine-gun-slinging South Americans that a proper drug cartel export to Australia is worth their while.

This second issue has been so long coming that we'd almost given up on it. Thankfully Ms Gage didn't, despite some unforeseen setbacks, so now we have Janus Faces, a lovely green creature designed by Mikie Inglis, with contributions from 22 other amazing brains (including journos, painters, photographers, academics, whip crackers, scientists and theatre makers).
