Wing touches down in BNE in just a few days now, so we thought we'd get some of the get-to-know you stuff out of the way so she can concentrate on her performance come Monday. Here's the tell-all, follow-your-dreams email interview with the voice, the wonder, Wing Han Tsang.

Rachel Surgeoner: What have you been up to this fine morning in Auckland?

Wing Han Tsang: a) I did simple warm up - both physical and vocal exercises - for one hour as soon as I woke up.

b) Then I walking in the bush track and listening to the 15 sound tracks for one hour.

c) I did a singing of a song, 'Man In The Mirror', for a client in Ottawa in Canada through phone call.

d) Then opened computer and answered all emails and carried out all orders online.

RS: You where born in China, yes? When and why did you immigrate to NZ?

WHT: I was born in Hong Kong. Because of the political changes in 1997 our whole family immigrated to New Zealand.

RS: Does the South Park episode featuring you ring true to any parts of your life? Have you ever auditioned for American Idol?

WHT: It's a story made up by South Park's management. Nothing related to my real life. No, I seldom look at any TV program because my language problem.

RS: How did you come to be featured on South Park? (How did they find out about you?)

WHT: They emailed me and told me they want to talk to my manager or my legal professional person for signing up a contract. They will choose three songs from my CDs and imitate to a character called Wing in a cartoon episode and will circulate it worldwide for five years. Contract was signed through toll call in my solicitors office on 27th March 2004 and the cartoon episode was out in three days, later circulating in America.

RS: Do you have a man if your life? If not, do you have any pets?

WHT: This is very personal. But I can tell you. I divorced for 8 years already because I want to concentrate in my singing and traditional Chinese family usually not accept a family member doing singing as a profession. This happened in my family only.

RS: Wing, your outfits and hair are amazing, who does your wardrobe? Do you have a stylist or dress yourself for your performances?
(We really like how you mix your traditional Chinese silk dresses with the leather Michael Jackson gloves when you performed on Good Morning New Zealand)

WHT: No, I ordered all my Chinese dresses from a online dress company in mainland China.

RS: You were a nurse before you started your singing career, what inspired you to make this change?

WHT: I like singing since I was a child. I hadn't got a chance to learn it. I tried to get hold of every possible chance to do singing as my profession to make my dream comes true.

RS: What plans do you have for 2010, where do you see Wing headed in the future?

WHT: In 2010, I like to make a new CD with rapping songs as well as ordinary popular songs for all my fans. I planning to do as much as recording for all recording companies and bands. I try to perform live whenever chances given to me. I like to sing till i feel and everybody feel that there is power in my music. One can get strength, inspirations from my music too.

RS: Who is your favourite musician of all time? Do you have a favourite song?

WHT: I appreciated to all my the musicans who making sound tracks for my learning and recordings. In the past, at present and will be in the future too. Without their help , I really can't reach up to this level. At present , I like We Salute You and Beat It.

RS: Do you have a message you'd like to pass onto your fans in Brisbane?

WHT: I would love to sing my best in the up coming live performance in The Zoo in Brisbane on Jan 25 for all my fans in Brisbane. I love to come back as often as I can whenever opportunities given to me for all my fans in Brisbane. They can email me which song they like and I'll prepare and learn it for them too.
