Born to sing (talk), dance (swivel) and offend (kinda), Sydney's own Spod has his new album Superfrenz out, and it's here to mess with ya head! Producing danceable electronic madness with tongue constantly lashing the inside of cheek, Spod uses his Atari synth gear and other blippy shiznit to get ya bodies swingin' and ya booties shakin'. Afterparty alone will have you lockin', poppin', breakin', and whatever else the kids do these days.

There's an unexpected maturity on this album, considering this is the guy who released Taste The Radness, but by no means is the juvenile content missing on this sophomore release either. Rather, the songs themselves have a new invigoration about them, and despite the original recordings of the album being completely lost due to a hard drive failure, there are no signs of frustration within the tunes themselves - it's a 24/7 party, baby.

Lyrical delivery and content is the polarising issue for many when it comes to Spod, and this album is full of the one-man act's usual juvenile, tunefully-spoken lyrics (Norx is great, by the way). As a fan of most things similar to Spod however, I am a firm believer in the guy and his music, so if it works for me it may very well work for you. I mean, c'mon, there's a song on here called Time Maggots Eating The Flesh Of Destiny... how frickin' tight is THAT?!
