Like your futuristic noise-pop the way they make it in Brooklyn, NY? This way, please! Taking a break from their eardrum-punishing obligations as prog-noiseniks Wikkid, Busy Gangnes and Melissa Livaudais have concocted something considerably more sublime with Telepathe's debut full-length Dance Mother.

For starters, groovy as it is, dance music this ain't; this is the sort of a record you'd play at home expecting hidden delights to crawl into your ear - and they would. Secondly, painfully hip they may be, but the girls have cliché-free originality aplenty. And some pretty good songs they've got too: 'Chrome's On It's' chorus is so irresistible it will make you forget Architecture In Helsinki ever existed, 'So Fine' (look up the rad video on YouTube!) has the best echoey drums since the moment Phil Collins hammered out THAT break on 'In The Air Tonight' and 'Devil's Trident' is a plain gorgeous closer.

Hang on, has anyone already guessed this album was produced by the guru-like Dave Sitek from fellow Brooklynites TV On The Radio? It's called telepathy, kids!
