The All-Weather Field Book (No. 980T) also contains useful references such as ‘Tactical Mission Graphics’ (for synchronization matrixes and manuever sketches), ‘Friendly Unit Symbols’ (infantry, artillery, air defence etc), ‘US Army Troop-Leading Procedures’ with handy tick boxes (receive mission, issue warning order, conduct reconnaissance, etc), a list of Mortar / Artillery Capabilities, guidelines for the preparation of an attack ‘Range Card’ (may be used for all types of direct fireweapons), and a ruler.
