Team two Scottish ladies with a plethora of fabric, lace and oversized buttons, and you've got new Brissie label Pop Culture Designs. This endearing duo has just started up the fashion and accessories line (it's only 3 weeks old!), which features handmade clothing, bags, purses, and jewellery in a range of bright colours and interesting designs. What's more, only one of each piece is ever made, so you'll know your purchase is truly unique (a rarity in our mass-market world).
The ladies also collect and stock a range of vintage clothing and footwear, and add custom embellishments to new and recycled clothing: textile flowers, clusters of lace, patchwork fabric, dangling ribbon, and too-cute buttons in every shape and colour imaginable. Catch them every Saturday at the West End Markets, Davies Park.
The great Scottish accents are really just the icing on the cake...
