Pete and Toby, they sound like nice boys don’t they? Like the kind of guys who have been friends since primary school. Guys who always got a crush on the same girl, but decided that mates came before dates and went to play some footy with the guys instead – less trouble. Right? WRONG! Pete Versus Toby are two guys (real names Marco and Antoine) from Byron Bay who love to make trouble. And you too will cause a stir sporting this flash backpack.
So where did these good boys go wrong? Antoine had plans to be an engineer and Marco spent his youth on the Byron Bay Golf Course. But they both threw in the corporate/sporting career towels for shiny fabrics, slim cuts and zany prints. Fact: every tag on every shirt is hand written by Marco or Antoine. The two pride themselves on the message of their designs, “All our prints can be read and laughed at on a few different levels”. Fancy and funny – by gosh boys you’ve done it.

FourThousand is a subcultural guide to Brisbane, published daily and fired by email weekly. It is compiled by an amorphous gaggle of Brisbane writers, stylists, designers and photographers who all like huddling under that big umbrella we like to call creativity. Without editorial independence FourThousand has nothing. All editorial you read is featured because it's worth it - not because it's paid for.
