What:
Pepe's Revenge by Mala Brajkovic
Where:
Blonde Venus , 707 Ann Street, Fortitude Valley
When:
Mon - Sat 10am - 6pm, Sun 11am - 5pm
Mala Brajkovic is at the forefront of fashion right now. Pretty, quirky, and charming as hell. Her designs are like a cute seductive oddball boy. So be prepared.
Her eighth collection, Pepe’s Revenge (named after her beloved cat), has just hit stores and is already getting rave reviews. The collection puts some much-needed spice into winter wear with her Mexicana-themed pieces, sexy cuts, daring flares and colour aplenty. The fashion feline is even immortalised in his own t-shirt print.
“[At the moment] I’m really influenced by Wendy James from Transvision Vamp,” says Mala, who plans to head towards “lots of lingerie type garments, silky satiny things and pale pink!” for her upcoming Summer 08/09 collection.
With tailored jackets, bubble skirts, sassy dresses, and a blaze of metallics on offer, Brajkovic will certainly give you bang for your buck this winter.

FourThousand is a subcultural guide to Brisbane, published daily and fired by email weekly. It is compiled by an amorphous gaggle of Brisbane writers, stylists, designers and photographers who all like huddling under that big umbrella we like to call creativity. Without editorial independence FourThousand has nothing. All editorial you read is featured because it's worth it - not because it's paid for.
