I remember, circa 98-99, when Morning Glory was all the rage. It was where my friends and I (and conceivably every other teenage girl in the city) headed for late night shopping every Friday after school. It was the place where birthday presents were compulsorily purchased, and was the familiar provider of the notepaper on which many-a-letters were scrawled and passed to each other each day (this was that bleak period before text messaging reigned supreme, yet obviously we still had important things to discuss... Such as: What (terribly-matching) outfits are we going to wear to the Terrace dance this weekend? and Do you think Ben is cute or is he too short and do you think maybe that he will grow soon?)

It's funny to think Morning Glory still exists, even if it has been a little swamped by the multitude of other Asian import stores around, and now lives on in only 2 locations. But that doesn't mean it's not still worth a visit. You'll be surprised at just how many pretty dangly things there are to hang off your phone (or self), and will question how you ever functioned without a pink, tri-coloured, rabbit-printed, bunny-eared pacer pen for so long...

All jokes aside, this place does cute like Lady GaGa does bad music. Overwhelmingly.
