As you may have heard, I am not a very good dresser. No you don't need to be nice about it, it's a pretty bad scene. The worst part is, half the time I am thinking "Ooh, I look superfine!" And yet, this is simply not true.
However, this doesn't mean I am immune to the siren call of fashion. And, in fact, our slack-butt fashion writers may still be on holiday, but do I have a scoop for you! Gorman sent us the catalogue for their new range, in stores next Tuesday, and it is so great that even I - Lady Sweat Stains - checked my bank balance.
There are big, frou-frou skirts, cinched at the waist like a scene from Joanie Loves Chachi or something. There are frilly, cap-sleeved dresses that are yes-fruity-but-nevertheless -somewhat-rock-n-roll. There are high-waisted pants like Chloe Sevigny would wear if she got an office job for once. OK, some of it's a bit casual-day-at-the-nab-finance-department, but your impractical shoes will balance that out I'm sure.
