We’ve got one Elephant shirt (pictured) to giveaway. Email win@fourthousand.com.au with the meaning behind the t-shirt pictured
It may be moving quickly towards winter, but t-shirts are still the staple of most Brisbanite men's wardrobes. Those chilly mornings and evenings may call for a coat or two, but that is never heeded for long. The notorious midday blaze of the Sunshine State inevitably brings the feeling—and heat—of summer right on back. So there's no excuse to wearing something hideous hiding under that jumper, you will have to take it off.
Elephant is an art-based t-shirt brand that originated in Melbourne three years ago but has now spread its wings to sunny Brisbane. The label is the creation of 3 friends and graduates of RMIT who "decided to make t-shirts that we were into".
The result? Bold and clever prints, all designed around a social issue or observation on society. "Although generally," admits Trent, "most people wouldn't know what the design means unless we told them." As we said, take a guess behind the meaning of the shirt pictured and it could be yours.
