These guys are onto something. The name alone is exactly what every self-respecting, latter-day consumer wants to be. Even if we have to make like pockfaced Ponzi-schemer Bernard Madoff, desert our tiny silvery scraps of soul at the crossroads and always finish the food on our plates‚ count us in. DIRTYRICH! PAINT US DIRTYRICH!
But, with that crazed plot still pending, we can at least dress Dirtyrich. Their schtick is decidedly gutter-glam‚ with chunky specs from graffiti artist turned fash designer Claw Money (this Queens lady dresses Santigold and M.I.A.), Married to the Mob dresses and tees (motto: always hard, never girly), cute bellygrazing tanks from LA Fine and the requisite gold link jewellery from Cubannie Links.
Sydney-based Dirtyrich say they are filling a gap in the market for 'the hottest underground and boutique American street and contemporary brands'. Judging by how much we're drooling right now, we'll buy that. Until another get-rich quick scheme comes along, that is.
