Tea is very relaxing, but if you find it difficult making a decision from a vast number of choices, perhaps tlicious isn’t the tea shop for you. It’s a café and take-home teashop with more than 100 different varieties of tea. Doesn’t matter if you’re a tea traditionalist, preferring a classic, full bodied brew, a green tea convert, or you need to cut down the caffeine with a herbal blend, tlicious will provide ample choice.
Their menu is huge. So huge it is categorised and subcategorised. Best to go in with a game plan.
Pick your black teas by region (Sri Lankan Ceylon, Darjeeling from India or Chinese black teas), by blend (The Breakfasts, the Caravans, or specialised blends) or mix it up a little with flavoured black teas. They also stock Oolong tea, white tea and a host of Chinese, Japanese and flavoured green teas.
Of the non-tea varieties (ie: no caffeine) there is a wide selection of herbal infusions and Rooibos teas or try one of the fruit melanges range for a delicious brew of fruits, flowers, herbs and spices.
Once you’ve settled on a tea, pick yourself out a cute new teapot. And maybe a strainer, an infuser and a measurer too!

FourThousand is a subcultural guide to Brisbane, published daily and fired by email weekly. It is compiled by an amorphous gaggle of Brisbane writers, stylists, designers and photographers who all like huddling under that big umbrella we like to call creativity. Without editorial independence FourThousand has nothing. All editorial you read is featured because it's worth it - not because it's paid for.
