Anyone who has ever travelled south to Melbourne, knows The Hi-Fi Bar, the celebrated home of many a great gig and one of Australia's legendary music venues. The type of place that on just about any night of the week you can walk into, see some great live music and have a beer with the band afterwards. And now comes Hi-Fi's sister: Hi-Fi Brisbane. What, where, when and how you ask? - well, fancy this: the old Pavilion Hotel has been gutted and turned Hi-Fi, the rest you can read for yourself above.

The purpose built concert hall has a state of the art main room, with a mezzanine level to house 1200 people at any one time. Plus, the sight lines are said to be unbelievable and there are over seven different levels that you can view the stage from. (Great for us shorties).

The Drones are headlining the opening with Brisbane's own Hits offering support and in true Hi-Fi style the only way you can get in, is to get on somebody's guest list. Upcoming shows include Ratatat, The Grates, Children Collide, DZ and Ladytron. The Hi-Fi promises to be one of Brisbane's most exciting new music venues and a great place to have a drink. And finally, a venue to give The Tivoli some much needed competition!
