How good is it going back home to your parents' place for a good feed? Oh just for a mouthful of a slow-cooked roast; a titbit of vegie pasta bake; a helping of old school bangers and mash! All the things we love to eat but don't have time to make ourselves.
Now you don't need to. Ten10Eats makes restaurant-grade meals prepared daily at by chef Michael Edmonds at their Clayfield kitchen. Then they are packed, labelled and put into refrigerated transport for delivery.
Choose from beef stroganoff, lamb shank, lasagne, roast of the day and baked snapper (to give you just a taste). They've also got five vegetarian options - including spinach and feta cannelloni, vegie curry and roast pumpkin penne. And the menu clearly indicates whether the meal is dairy free, low fat and/or gluten free.
It's ten dinner options, all of which can be heated in less than ten minutes and will cost you less than $10. At that cost it is almost cheaper than making it. And since you can order online and (in most inner-city suburbs) get it delivered, there's no excuse to go Maccas again.

FourThousand is a subcultural guide to Brisbane, published daily and fired by email weekly. It is compiled by an amorphous gaggle of Brisbane writers, stylists, designers and photographers who all like huddling under that big umbrella we like to call creativity. Without editorial independence FourThousand has nothing. All editorial you read is featured because it's worth it - not because it's paid for.
