If you like Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain then Sky Room simply isn't for you. While its stylings are definitely more Jetsons-meets-Brady Bunch than copacabana, the cocktail menu sings a distinctly tiki tune. Either way, Sky Room is a blessed Valley retreat brought to you by the same people who delivered us The Bowery. Intimate and relaxed - it's a whole new way to experience having a good drink.
If you're lucky enough to grab a couch setting you'll have full table service brought to you by the spritely staff, sporting matching navy Fred Perry polos. Now that you know what it feels like to sit in Carol and Greg's den, let's talk some more about the purpose of a bar of this kind: the cocktails, folks. Is there really anything that will make you feel more like you're on holiday than sipping your cocktail from a pineapple? A coconut? A honey-pot? Sky Room creatively crafts and fills all three of these delights with the only the best in liquor. Yum!
Sky Room is utterly lush from the drinks menu to the Aesop handwash in the unisex bathrooms. It's a whole new twist on tiki. But please don't tell everyone. Let's keep it our little secret. It's going to be a balmy summer...
