"Just one more bubble tea, then we'll leave"

Enter Quan-Yin Tea House and your afternoon may just mysteriously slip by. Hidden within the metropolis of Fortitude Valley's China Town, this sanctimonious cafe has become a regular haunt for those seeking time out from the bustle of modern life.

With its eclectic, slightly dated combinations of decor, Quan-Yin Tea House is about as unpretentious as you can get; just great vegetarian food and genuinely friendly service. Plus it's cheap enough for you to shout the whole table.

The fried dumplings and combo hotpots are both delicious. And for those who haven't yet experienced the craze of bubble tea: soy chocolate with taro and pearls should keep you busy.

However, warnings must be issued: vegetarians beware the rare phenomena of menu choice, while dedicated carnivores prepare for memory lapses regarding the existence of a thing called... meat?
