Nectar owner, Kris Miles is more than your average beer drinker. He's obsessed. What's more - the man loves to cook, knows good wine and his beer shop even stocks chocolate beer. Nectar joined West End's Boundary Street buzz 2 months ago, pulling the cap right off on the best beers from allover the world and landing right on the demand for more variety in beer in our fair city.
Miles had tried every beer that was on offer at most local bottle-o's and decided his calling was to open up a beer shop with a seriously cultivated range... not to mention a healthy selection of local organic wines, it seems everyone wants their alcohol to be good for them nowadays? What ever happened to getting legless on a 3 dollar bag of goon, waking up feeling like you've been hit by a bus, drinking a tallie to make the pain go away and then starting allover again?
Nectar has it all from cherry beers to banana bread beers, stouts darker than the Brisbane River, ciders, and ales from far corners of the world like Tasmania (ha!). Strong ones too - Bush, Belgium's strongest beer comes in a 12% and Australia's own Supershine just a pinch behind at 11%. Get on down to Nectar and pick up some fancy, healthy, good-looking piss.
