“Great book..."
“Oh, you've read it?”

If you're planning on trying out this handy little icebreaker I wouldn't recommend going to Avid Reader Cafe. Sure, you might grab the attention of that cute lass in the corner. But you'll probably also get a response from the steely looking lady behind you and perhaps one of the grandpas up the back.

Yes, its hard to believe, bookshop cafes are full of people reading. So why not give it a try? Ditch that date with your mates and pick up something textual.

Avid Reader's funky cafe will keep your eye muscles energised with a long list of specialty coffees, snacks and sandwiches. If you're feeling fiery go for the wasabi tuna on turkish bread with capsicum and rocket. Or for something more classical try the pumpkin tart with side salad.

But just remember the golden rule of literary credibility: Harry Potter must stay on the shelf at all times.
